God is Reminding You of His Revelation
In the beginning, God revealed Himself as the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
Through His Word, He brought all things into existence and continues to uphold them. Creation itself offers constant testimony of His power and presence, providing humanity with ongoing evidence of His existence.
From the very start, God desired more than distant acknowledgment.
He wished to open the way to heavenly salvation. Thus, He revealed Himself to our first parents, inviting them into intimate communion with Him.
He clothed them in resplendent grace and original justice, sharing His friendship and love.
This divine revelation was not broken by sin.
Even after our first parents disobeyed and lost His friendship, God did not abandon them to the power of death.
Instead, He strengthened them with the hope of salvation by promising redemption. From that moment on, God has never ceased to care for the human race.
Throughout salvation history, God continually offered covenants to humanity, desiring to give eternal life to all who seek salvation through patience and perseverance in doing good
It is through this great song, I remember where I came from [Nakumbuka kule nilikotoka] by Kwaya ya Mt. Yuda, we are reminded of the roots of God. It reminds us of the true revelation that God has put in our lives.
The revelation that God has kept in your life.
After sin shattered the unity of the human race, God began to save humanity step by step. Following the flood, He established a covenant with Noah.
This covenant revealed God’s divine plan toward the nations—toward all people scattered across the earth, each with its own language, land, and traditions.
Humanity’s division into nations was, in part, a remedy. It prevented fallen men—who once sought a false unity at Babel—from uniting only in pride and rebellion against God. Yet, sin continued to corrupt this provisional order.
Polytheism and the idolatry of rulers and nations constantly threatened to lead humanity astray into paganism.
Nevertheless, the covenant with Noah remained valid throughout the “times of the Gentiles,” lasting until the universal proclamation of the Gospel.
The Bible honors several figures among the Gentiles who lived uprightly under this covenant.
Abel, the just man; Melchizedek, the king-priest and foreshadowing of Christ; and the righteous Noah, Daniel, and Job—each stand as witnesses of the holiness that is possible when living according to God’s covenant.
In them, Scripture shows the heights of sanctity that can be reached even outside Israel, while awaiting the fullness of time when Christ would come to “gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.”
