10 Things You Should Know About God's Power (In You)

When we speak of God’s power, we are not talking about something small or limited, but about the very energy of God’s life. This power is the expression of Ukuu wa Mungu — the greatness of God — revealed in us, working through us, and pointing all glory back to Him.

1. God’s power is divine energy.

It cannot be bottled or contained. It flows directly from the being of God Himself. It is His greatness shared with us.

2. This power dwells in every believer.

It is not just an idea, but a living force within us, calling us to partner with God in His purposes. We are to ask Him daily to increase the manifestation of His greatness in our lives.

3. It is a resurrection power.

Paul longed to know the power that raised Jesus from the dead (Philippians 3:8–11). That same greatness that reversed death itself is available to us — not as theory, but as real experience.

4. The same power lives in us.

Ephesians 1:19–20 tells us this immeasurable greatness of His power is at work in those who believe. It is limitless, infinite, never failing — the greatness of God displayed through us.

5. This power sustains life and godliness.

Peter reminds us that His divine power has given us all things we need (2 Peter 1:3). Whatever we lack, God’s greatness supplies.

6. God’s power energizes our missio

Paul said he labored “with all His energy that He powerfully works within” (Colossians 1:29). True ministry is not human strength but the greatness of God empowering weak vessels.

7. This power is for all believers.

Stephen, though not an apostle, was full of grace and power (Acts 6:8). The same Spirit that filled Paul filled him. And that same Spirit fills us. Ukuu wa Mungu is not reserved for the few — it is for all who believe.

8. This power is imparted and transferable.

Jesus gave power to His disciples (Luke 9:1–2). The Spirit clothed them with power (Acts 1:8). Even Jesus Himself ministered by the Spirit’s power (Acts 10:38). The greatness of God flows through touch, through faith, through the Spirit living in us.

9. God’s greatness shines through weakness.

Paul’s ministry was marked by weakness, fear, and trembling — but also by a demonstration of the Spirit and power (1 Corinthians 2:3–5). Our frailty becomes the stage where the greatness of God is revealed.

10. The greatness of God is our mission.

Acts 1:8 sums it all: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” God’s greatness is not abstract — it is for miracles, for witness, for transformation, for the expansion of His kingdom

The message of Ukuu wa Mungu is clear: God is infinitely above all, yet His greatness dwells in us through His Spirit. We are weak, but His power makes us strong. We are ordinary, but His greatness works wonders through us. Our call is not just to admire His greatness, but to live in it, depend on it, and reveal it to the world.

Ukuu wa Mungu — His greatness is above all, within all, and through all.
